Awards and Recognition

  • 2002 - Mobile's Tall Ship Parade on July 4th, second vessel in line, behind the U.S. Coast Guard tall ship Eagle
  • 2002 - Dog River Christmas Boat Parade, "Most Original"
  • 2003 - Captain Carol and Captain Cindy named "Admirals" in the Alabama Navy by the governor of Alabama.
  • 2003 - Pirates Cove Wooden Boat Festival, First Place Large Sail, Best in Show
  • 2003 - Bayou La Batre Blessing of the Fleet, First Place Large Commercial
  • 2003 - Proclaimed Mobile's Official Tall Ship by Mayor Mike Dow and the City of Mobile, Captain and crew named ambassadors for the City of Mobile
  • 2003 - Dog River Christmas Boat Parade, "Best Overall"  
  • January 2004 - Joshua and crew went on a "Goodwill Tour" to ports in the panhandle of Florida.
  • March 2004 - Joshua participated in Civil War Reenactment of the Battle of Mobile Bay, complete with cannons and soldiers aboard.
  • October 2004 - Joshua was featured on travel show, Turner South's Three Day Weekend.
  • December 2004 - Joshua took 2nd Place in the Commercial Boat Category for Christmas on the River.
  • November 2005 - Joshua and crew traveled to Madisonville, LA for the Wooden Boat Festival and took 2nd Place in Sail.
  • December 2005 - Joshua was awarded Best All Around and 1st in Sail on the Christmas on the River Boat Parade.
  • September 2006 - Capt. Carol and Capt. Cindy were named Alabama Outdoor Amabassadors for the year 2006.
  • December 2006 - Boat Parade
  • January 2007 - Coastal sail along Florida Panhandle south to Crystal River
  • August 15, 2008 - Commendation by Governor Riley for promoting tourism and education on Alabama's rich maritime heritage
  • December 2008 - Boat Parade
  • April 2009 - Joshua was named Alabama's official tall ship by Governor Bob Riley.
